Shiraz

Shiraz draws from the tribal carpet tradition of southern Iran, where weavers in the Fars province produced some of the most vivid and characterful rugs in the Persian world. The navy ground anchors a composition alive with color- a multicolor border in warm reds, oranges, and golds frames a central boteh, the ancient teardrop motif that has symbolized the cypress tree, a flame, and eternity across centuries of Persian textile art.
